About Horizon Test Lab

Sample content: placeholder text for layout review. Names, numbers and claims are not real.

Horizon Test Lab publishes original tests of 3D-printing materials and the tools around them. We measure things ourselves, publish the raw data, and explain exactly how each number was produced, so that anyone can check our work or build on it.

What we do

  • Lab tests: tensile, impact and heat tests of filaments under documented conditions.
  • Comparisons: price and specification comparisons with a source and a date for every number.
  • Open data: every dataset is downloadable as CSV under CC BY 4.0 and, where possible, archived on Zenodo with a DOI.

How we stay independent

We buy test samples at retail unless an article says otherwise. Manufacturers do not see articles before publication and cannot pay for coverage. Any affiliate link or sponsored sample is disclosed at the top of the article and listed in our conflicts of interest policy.

Who we are

Sample Author, materials engineer and lead tester, plans and runs the tests and signs off every result. Analysis and drafting are assisted by AI tools; data and conclusions are always checked by the author (see our methodology).
