Corrections policy

Sample content: placeholder text for layout review. Names, numbers and claims are not real.

We correct mistakes quickly and visibly. A test site is only useful if its numbers can be trusted, and that includes being open about errors.

How to report an error

Write to us through the contact page with the article URL and what you believe is wrong. Data errors are easier to check if you point to the row in the CSV.

What we do

  • We acknowledge reports within 3 working days.
  • If a number, chart or conclusion is wrong, we fix it, add a dated entry to the article’s changelog and update the “Last updated” date.
  • If the error changes the main conclusion, we add a correction note at the top of the article.
  • Corrected datasets get a new version; old versions stay available.
  • Typos and wording fixes are made without a changelog entry and do not change the update date.
